About the tour

A whole day at sea, all to yourselves

The Princes' Islands Swim Cruise is the longest package tour on Hermes. Unlike the crowded ferries and group tour boats, the yacht, captain and crew are there for you and your guests only, all day. It suits families, groups of friends and couples who want a quiet day on the water.

Hermes is an 18-metre motor yacht, with an upper deck for sunbathing, a dining table on the aft deck and an interior saloon to rest in the shade.

Sample route

From Bebek to the Islands and back

  1. 10:00, depart from Bebek Marina. No extra charge for boarding here.
  2. South along the Bosphorus: past Ortaköy, Dolmabahçe and the Maiden's Tower into the Sea of Marmara.
  3. The Princes' Islands: cruising around Kınalıada, Burgazada, Heybeliada and Büyükada.
  4. Swim stop: if weather and sea allow, at a spot chosen by the captain.
  5. 18:00, back at Bebek Marina.

This is a sample route and may change with the weather, currents and sea traffic. If you have a special request, such as going ashore on an island, ask us on WhatsApp before booking.

Swimming rules

Swimming is only allowed once the boat has stopped and been secured, and with the captain's permission. Life jackets are worn while swimming. The captain may not allow swimming if the weather, currents or sea traffic are unsuitable. The captain chooses the swimming spot and gives permission. Children and non-swimmers enter the water only under adult supervision and always with a life jacket.

When to go

Summer is usually the best time for a swim stop. If you don't plan to swim, spring and autumn also make for a calm day around the Islands. The calendar only shows the days when the tour is available.

Included: private cruise, service, tea, coffee and water.

Food, per person: Turkish breakfast spread €30 (cheeses and olives, menemen, eggs with sucuk, simit, poğaça, tea and Turkish coffee), dinner €40 (mixed grill, meat or fish, meze, salad), snacks and cocktail menu €20. You choose your menu on WhatsApp after booking; menus may vary with the season.

Pick-up elsewhere: Bebek Marina and Kandilli are free; other piers cost €40 per pier, and the transfer fee from Bebek is confirmed on WhatsApp.

  3. Meet us at Bebek Marina at 10:00The remaining 70% is paid on board on the day.

Cancellations and date changes

If your cruise is 15 or more days away, you can change the date free of charge. With less than 15 days to go, date changes depend on availability. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel; it is refunded if the cruise cannot go ahead due to bad weather. Full cancellation policy (Turkish)

How long is the Princes' Islands tour and how much does it cost?

The tour departs Bebek Marina at 10:00 and ends at 18:00, 8 hours in total. It costs €730 for the whole yacht; you pay a 30% deposit (€219) and the rest on board on the day. Prices are in euros and include VAT.

Is the price per person?

No. €730 is for the whole yacht. Hermes is licensed for 10 guests. Food menus are charged per person.

Can we swim?

Yes, in suitable weather and sea conditions, once the boat has stopped and been secured, wearing a life jacket and with the captain's permission. The captain chooses the swimming spot. Children and non-swimmers enter the water only under adult supervision and always with a life jacket.

Is food available on board?

Tea, coffee and water are included. You can add breakfast (€30), dinner (€40) or snacks (€20), per person.

Can we go at a different time?

The Princes' Islands Swim Cruise runs from 10:00 to 18:00. For a different time, choose the hourly cruise or message us on WhatsApp.

What if the weather is bad?

If the cruise cannot go ahead due to bad weather, your deposit is refunded.
