About the cruise

A Bosphorus day away from the city crowds

The 3rd Bridge Swim Cruise is our 6-hour package for guests who want to see the Bosphorus end to end. You leave the busy city-centre traffic behind and head for the calmer, greener northern shores.

Hermes is an 18 m motor yacht: a shaded upper deck for the view, a table on the aft deck for meals and a saloon to cool off. The captain and crew are there only for you.

Sample route

From Bebek towards the 3rd Bridge and back

10:00, departure from Bebek Marina. No boarding fee.
North along the Bosphorus: Rumeli Fortress and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, then the northern shores.
Towards the Yavuz Sultan Selim (3rd) Bridge: cruising to where the Bosphorus opens to the Black Sea.
Swim stop: when weather and sea allow, at a spot chosen by the captain.

Swimming rules

Swimming only after the yacht has stopped and is secured, and with the captain's permission. Life jackets are worn while swimming. The captain may not allow swimming if weather, currents or traffic are unsuitable. Children and non-swimmers enter the water only with a life jacket and adult supervision.

Food, per person: Turkish breakfast spread €30, dinner €40, snacks and cocktail menu €20. You choose your menu on WhatsApp after booking. Breakfast on board

Boarding: free at Bebek Marina and Kandilli. Pick-up or drop-off at another Bosphorus pier costs €40 per pier plus the yacht's travel time from Bebek at the hourly rate; we confirm the amount on WhatsApp.

Cancellation and date changes

If your cruise is 15 or more days away, you can change the date free of charge. With less than 15 days to go, date changes depend on availability. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel; if the cruise cannot go ahead due to bad weather, a yacht fault or an official ban, it is refunded or the date is moved. About the 3rd Bridge cruise

How long is the 3rd Bridge cruise and how much is it?

It leaves Bebek Marina at 10:00 and returns at 16:00, 6 hours in total. The price is €460 for the whole yacht; you pay a 30% deposit (€138) and the rest on the day. Prices are in euros and include VAT.

Is the price per person?

No. €460 is for the whole yacht, the same for up to 10 guests. Food menus are charged per person.

Can we swim?

When weather and sea allow, after the yacht has stopped and is secured, with a life jacket and the captain's permission. The captain chooses the swim spot.

3rd Bridge or Princes' Islands?

The 3rd Bridge cruise is 6 hours on the upper Bosphorus; the islands cruise is 8 hours (€730) and goes out into the Sea of Marmara. Choose the 3rd Bridge for a shorter, calmer day and the islands for a full day at sea.

Is food available on board?

Tea, coffee and water are included. You can add breakfast (€30), dinner (€40) or snacks (€20), per person.

What if the weather is bad?

If the cruise cannot go ahead due to bad weather, a yacht fault or an official ban, your deposit is refunded or the date is moved.
